The latest Mouseketeer to hit it big is Christina Aguilera, following in the footsteps of fellow former Mickey Mouse Club stars Britney Spears and two members of boy band *NSYNC.  Only 20, Aguilera is already topping the charts with her single, "Genie In A Bottle." Aguilera was raised outside Pittsburgh, the daughter of a military father and a violinist/pianist mother. She began her career early, appearing on "Star Search" at age eight singing the national anthem for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins at age 10.

Aguilera's big break came when she was only 12 years old, as a Mouseketeer on the "The All New Mickey Mouse Club." She went on to record "Reflection" for Disney's Mulan in 1998, and soon after the film's release the single was a favorite on Adult/Contemporary radio. "Reflection" was nominated for a Golden Globe for "Best Original Song in a Motion Picture."

Aguilera's self-titled debut was released in June of 1999 on RCA Records. The next year, she won the "Best New Artist" category at the 42nd Annual Grammy Awards.
